My state's been pretty much plagued with these ballot measures for years. This year is unusual because only five have made it through to the ballot. Generally it's worse. My general rule is that I won't go too far wrong by voting no on all of them.
A while back, the voters stupidly approved on which required the state to fully fund public education and another which seriously impeded the ability of the state to collect taxes, in the same election.
And then there's this idiot, who makes his living by writing up initiatives, creating groups to sponsor them, and then having the group hire his company to collect signatures. Unusually he doesn't seem to have gotten any through to the ballot this year.
