California's Solution To Minorities Causing Trouble At School

If this bill passes, Cali schools will be severely limited in enforcing "Willful Defiance" rules in California schools because it looks bad.

Quote:

Under the new version (Senate Bill 419), students in grades 4-8 wouldn’t be suspended for disrupting school activities or willfully defying school authorities, including teachers and staff. The bill would also ban schools from suspending students in grades 9-12 for the same thing until January 1, 2025. The law would apply to both public and charter schools.

Gov Brown vetoed a similar bill.

I can't find the thread, but I mentioned recently that cities in CA are not prosecuting certain crimes due to political correctness (too many minorities in jail). Same thing here, and it doesn't get any clearer. Gotta bring those numbers down somehow!

Quote:

Research has shown the category of willful defiance was disproportionately used to discipline minority students, specifically African-Americans. Assembly Bill 420 was signed into law by Governor Brown in 2014, eliminating the expulsion option for schools. It took effect on January 1, 2015.

California is so full of baloney. This fixes nothing, which is how Cali rolls (see gun control). Changing laws and rules to even out the demographics? Man that is some stupid stuff. We hired these people? My gawd...

If you can't fix the problem, fudge the numbers! Brought to you by the infamous 9th Circuit!
