Greater democracy, freedom of choice, self determination.
Cons:
Responsibility, new departments, new currency required, border issues, immigration issues.
Scots around the UK are presently British citizens.
Outside of Scotland, they would become "foreigners".
Non Scots in Scotland would also become "foreigners".
Legislation would be needed to protect their rights.
