So we got a question on Quora about what the “ascended masters” may have thought about human evolution.
I pointed out that these “masters” were the invention of M. Blatavasky, the long-discredited guru responsible for the first “New Age” movement.

Not true. Ascended Master Is a term which first came into use with Saint Germain Foundation. Blavatsky is only one of many authors who use the term Master “of the Wisdom.” The explanation in theosophy is more along the idea of initiation than it is used concerning evolution.
Blavatsky describes a seven race theory of evolution in The Secret Doctrine and at the time it was published, 1888, the existence of masters was largely unsupported. More people associated enlightened beings with discipleship. As a result, Blavatsky’s claim that adepts high within a hierarchy of perfected humans helped her to write The Secret Doctrine was viewed as an impossible occurrence, hence she must have written it herself. This is where fraud comes into use. If there are no Ascended Masters, then she made it up.
Today, there are many, many separate instances where human beings have reported contact with Ascended Masters. Since others report similar experiences as Blavatsky, the claim can be viewed as more substantial than it was in her day.
Blavatsky’s seven race theory of evolution holds the key to how to view an Ascended Master as existing within the seven race framework. Three races descend, the fourth race is at a pivot point or bottom, then the last three races ascend. All of current humanity is fifth race, except for a very few humans who have advanced to sixth race through exceptional effort. Those people in 6th race consciousness do not have 6th race bodies to live in on earth as the 6th race will not begin for 400,000 more years. Ascended Master Jesus is an example of a 6th race human.
I have written extensively on quora and have a website that describes in more detail how humans ascend out of form in three races and go extinct on earth before returning again to live on earth a total of seven times. Currently, this is the fourth time we descended into form as a kingdom and are now ascending out of form. Each time a new element is added. Fire, air, water, earth. . . . With the next element to be ether, a largely unknown substance or fully unlike what we know it as today.
Fascinating.... I’d have thought that this nonsense would have long ago died a quiet death, but since Blatavasky and her contemporaries left a lot of written material, I suppose it’s not surprising that folks would buy into it.
