I don't think Wolfman posts here any more, which is a shame, because he does know a lot about Chinese culture, so anyone with good knowledge of that culture is welcome to offer an opinion.
An elderly Chinese man has been acquitted of a fairly serious sexual assault, on the basis of a report provided by his daughter, that says elderly Chinese men show affection to toddlers by grabbing their penis. Whether they show affection to toddler girls by showing a finger up them isn't covered.
Sounds a bit wrong to me, and ignores the fact that ignorance of the law is not a defence in other situation. People get sent to jail for this type of offence in the usual course of events.
