bioluminescent dino experiment

HELP!
My 11 year old has a science fair project. She chose dinoflagellates for it. These ones are P Fusiformis and they glow blue at night when agitated. Her experiment is to see the change when their circadian rhythm is altered.

However...our shipment of the measured tubes (with caps!) was delayed (we had to get unmeasured tubes) and now she only has 4 days to measure differences instead of 7. School isn't giving any extra time. Tonight we measure all of them to make sure they glow the same and throw out the outliers.

Is there anything she can do to make this more exciting in case not much happens in 4 days?

So far she has in her proposal that it is status quo for the control (3 tubes) and an altered day/night cycle for the rest (3 tubes). Video of them each night being upended one-at-a-time will be done to see the glow for any changes.

We have 20 filled tubes of 10ml each.

They have all been treated exactly the same for now.
