I've used Pfsense as my router for a couple years now. I don't have any issues with it at all. I love the program and it works like a charm. It hosts OpenVPN, I can block ads at the router, etc.
That being said, I'm curious what other people use or even if most other people use virtual machines or if they just stick with the hardware router. I might try another program just to see how it works. I run an ESXi machine so I can just delete them if I don't like it.
Anyway, thoughts?
