What is it about people from EU member countries that make themselves believe that they are the "civilised" world? Is it the fact that we got rich from pillaging and plundering the entire planet for 500 years? Is it all the atrocities committed in the name of civilisation that got us rich in the first place? Or is it the belief that a bit of Beethoven and some nice sounding words on paper sanctifies the obscene pile of corpses that went into civilisation?
