It used to be just the SNP, Scottish National Party. But now, after the big split between former SNP leader Alex Salmond and present leader Nicola Sturgeon over alleged misconduct, a new national party, the Alba Party is being started by Alex Salmond;

"Former First Minister Alex Salmond has announced he will be standing as leader of new independence party in the Holyrood elections in May.
Salmond said the Alba Party will be a list party under his leadership.
He said: “Over the next six weeks we will promote new ideas about taking Scotland forward, giving primacy to economic recovery from the pandemic and the achievement of independence for our country.
“We expect to field a minimum of four candidates in each regional list and we’re hoping to elect Alba MSPs from every area of Scotland.”
It will be interesting to see how many SNP MSPs become Alba MSPs.
Clan warfare in Scotland has not been this interesting since 1692.
