I read that the pope will pray for Lebanon. That is of course much more helpful than sending any of the Vatican’s vast wealth to help with the costs other countries are incurring by sending supplies, setting up field hospitals, and other useful endeavours. You can always count on the Catholic Church to be irrelevant in a crisis.
