This article analizes the failed strategy of trying to bring the Islamists to the center by accepting them if elected and inadvertedly alianating the US's traditional allies.
I agree with the course the Obama administration has taken, but as pointed out in this article it may have been whishfull thinking instead of hard-nosed realism.
