OK. So my SEO company has been contacting me of late. These guys do a decent job but they do have tendency to upsell me on things I don't really want or need.
The latest is that maybe I should be concerned about toxic links to my site. Apparently Google's latest incarnation will punish websites who have links to them from bad websites that spam, have malware, etc. The direst of possibilities is that the site would be blacklisted.
I am a bit doubtful, so does anyone know the real deal behind so-called toxic links? When do they really hurt you?
