The fine art of career seppuku

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...verturned.html

So the condensed story is:

- guy refuses to do his work because "he's in mourning for Roe vs Wade" (not even some extra work that the boss came up with or anything, just his normal scheduled work)

- sends an email to the whole company to let them know that he's refusing to work

- threatens to not work in the future too, unless the company takes some political action just because he said so. (NB, he's not even protesting some horrible thing the company actually did. He's not gonna work unless they take whatever political action some random employee like him demands.)

- gets fired

- goes on Twitter to let the whole world know that he's been fired for refusing work, and he's unapologetic

- tries to libel the company in the process, trying to spin it into "firing a brown queer employee during pride month", never mind that it has nothing to do with why he was fired even according to him. (Also, he's about as 'brown' as Boris Johnson is. No, seriously, I'm a Germanic ancestry guy who physically can't tan, and he's about as 'brown' as I am.)

Well done, lad. If there was a better way to make yourself unemployable for anything else than moving road cones (and possibly not even that), I can't imagine what it is.

Also note that I don't blast him for being "woke" or a "SJW" per se. I'm a card carrying European socialist (which I guess on Twitter would still count as "OMG, doesn't prioritize the rights of black transsexual elves in movies, hence reactionary";)) so I'm all for both a right to abortion and a right to strike. I'm also ok with people expressing their left- or right-wing opinions in any medium they wish. (I might think that some opinions are evidence of metal retardation, but I won't stop you from expressing them.) But what this berk did is going a bit beyond that. Like even the right to strike, involves a union action, rather than every random bellend deciding he doesn't feel like working today.

And it's not even helping the cause of any other woke activists, fer fork's sake. People are already using this kind of stuff to make a case for, basically, "don't hire woke 'weirdoes', they'll just cause headaches down the line." So yeah, well done, lad, for making life harder for the more sane lefties.
