How could the other party earn your vote?

Over in the Bernie hipster thread the topic went to what one party might do to change your vote. I thought it was a nice idea to explore more in depth.

For me the Republican party could earn my vote by doing the following:

Dedicating itself to finding a way so all Americans can get healthcare regardless of ability to pay.

Dedicating itself to the protection of all religious views and not just hardline Christian ones.

Dedicating itself to environmental protection including finally accepting human caused climate change and setting a goal for a carbon neutral future.

Ending its war on abortion.

Ending its hostility towards sexual identities that are not hetero.

Ending its hostility towards transgendered people.

Ending its hostility towards immigration and move towards making immigration much easier.

So, that's mine. What about you?
