I have an old classmate and friend who just acquired a new Dell laptop with Windows 10 installed. She is severely limited on data downloads, but in the first few days with the new machine has gone through between 5 and 10 Gig of downloads. Dell is claiming that maps and gaming are responsible, but she doesn't do those things. She's a writer and casual surfer, and a Facebook user. Doesn't have the bandwidth available for streaming.
Is it possible that Win 10 updates are responsible for the unusual amount?
She claims that with her old machine, she didn't have that much usage in a month.
That seems like a whole lot, since I do a hell of a lot more than that and don't reach 5 gig even on my phone...
