The Culture secretary has admitted a relationship with a woman who turned out to be an escort. He claims to have broken it off when he found out (or did he just refuse to pay ? ;)). The Labour Party are calling for him to withdraw from any discussions over press regulation.

Personally I think that it makes no difference who he's playing "hide the sausage" with and that this smacks of political opportunism. The Labour Party has (shamefully IMO) attempted to smear the Prime Minister over his perfectly legal tax affairs. Given the failure of that attempt, this sounds like an attempt to smear over some other irrelevancy rather than get on with the job of actually opposing the government.
It's not like there isn't a target-rich environment for opposition. The Chancellor's humiliating climb-down over disabled benefits should have been an opportunity to challenge other aspects of austerity but instead the Opposition have proved to be something of a paper tiger
