Reverend Sharpton showed back up yesterday for a 4-day weekend, participating in a number of meetings and vigils and such.
During one of these, he displayed his ignorance of the law, calling for the Brown case to be "turned over to federal prosecutors."
The Justice department is already investigating a possible civil-rights violation, but Sharpton wants the shooting incident itself handled by the feds.
Alas, this is not a federal offense, and must needs be handled by state-level authorities. The feds can't just take things over because Al wants it that way.
Things locally have been rather quiet for the last week and a half, fortunately. However, it's generally held that the grand jury will release it's findings in mid-November, and the excrement will hit the rotating blades.
We are all gearing up for the prospect of 12-hour shifts, and we are all being put through refresher crowd-control training and being issued new helmets, gas masks, and other such gear.
