The old one is 10 years old, has a <cough> 'Celeron' chip (a sticker on the front says so). It has a whopping 80gb of HD and 1gb of RAM.
But it's XP, and oooold. Despite its faultless service over the years, well, time moves on. Might stash it away 'just in case it comes in handy' ;)
New PC is ordered. Has 1tb disk, 4gb RAM, AMD 5400K 3.60Ghz chip-thingy-wotsit-doodah and Win7.
We don't do gaming or complex graphics stuff, so I asked for a pretty basic replacement for mostly surfing, stashing photos, stuff like that. How much difference will we notice?
