I believe its high time American Indians got to name what they want to be called for themselves. After all why should they be named for Amerigo Vespucci or the Asian Indian? There are some beautiful names to choose from like Appalachians, Mandans, Sioux, Apache. OK so I guess that's the rub ,i.e., which tribe gets the honor. Are there any other people of Indian descent willing to discuss this. (I'm part Cherokee)
