A few days ago some colleague of mine told me that he hesitates to heat up food or water in the mircowave because the waves tend to destroy precious minerals in the food (especially iron) during the heating process. He has a mircowave at home but uses it very rarely.
He is a chemist btw. and was serious about it but he didn't had the time to explain in detail.
Is there anything to it or just bull$/%?
