Back story: A truther elsewhere on the interwebs was doing his best to defend the sham that was the Bentham flap. Apparently it's Adam Taylor, and you can see his droolings here. While getting links to all the various examples of Bentham being a fraud, I went to find the quote from Jones saying "I wish to extend a warm welcome to Prof. Griscom to the 9/11 truth-seeking community, as he speaks out in his blog."; which I originally posted on the JREF here. Jones posted this statement on 9/11 Blogger back in 2010. Problem is, if you read the article again, that quote is nowhere to be found, save for the comments where people quoted it and called Jones out. Jones only hand waves trying to cover up that he had just been caught in a lie.
Too bad for Jones, like most truthers, he didn't seem to remember that all too often the internet does not forget. So while he may be able to pretend those quotes are not accurate, the Wayback Machine has the original with the quote intact. Unsurprisingly, the current one only has 1 editing note about adding a link. Here is a comparison of the two.
