Is Google Maps completely unprofitable or the source of a legal battle so they've made it both hard to find and harder to use?
Or am I missing some super-duper upgrade/download that is needed for functionality?
First, even in Google Chrome or selecting Google as your browser from the various search engines, unless you specify a country or continent, if you type in "Google Map Pattaya" half a page is (no doubt) paid-for links of crap you don't need before you get to a link to the actual Google Map you're looking for.
Worse, though, once you get to the map, it's this horrible new-fangled thing. Whatever happened to the scroll left/right/up down? All the street view pics from a few months ago are also missing.

Being a sometimes gamer, I tried scrolling to the edges of the screen, but that doesn't work. Apparently, you have to know exactly what you're looking for and can't go exploring or can't miss the location and then "look a little to the East or West"....
Is this Google's master plan to take over the world by making it harder to find stuff? Or, as I said, am I missing some key component.
