StopSylvia.com email: "Coming to my senses about Sylvia Browne"

I received the following email, with the subject "Coming to my senses about Sylvia Browne":

Hello,

I wanted to make some comments about the website www.stopsylvia.com. I recently discovered it by accident. I heard that she passed away and I googled her name to see the details of her passing. When I came across the website, I was thinking somebody out there had nothing better to do and was finding someone to pick on. Since new-age gurus can be criticized more easily due to their non-conventional ideas, why not pick on Sylvia Browne? She is well-known and lots of waves can be created by criticizing her. I have some of her books and have seen her at a couple of speaking engagements in 2007. One was in Las Vegas and the other in Washington D.C. While she is on stage, she spends half the time talking about angels, spirit guides the other side, Mother God, Father God, and anything else supernatural and then the other half going off on a tangent about general trials and tribulations in life. I sometimes wondered if I was watching a comedy show. I've never had any personal encounters with her but have heard answers to questions from selected audience members. My number was never called so I never had a chance to ask her a question. I've never heard her give any outrageous answers to the audience members. After all, I only attended two of her shows. She did not come across as a warm person and has gotten a little impatient at times but I thought it was because she was a "tell it like it is" person who can't allow herself to become too emotionally attached which could possibly interfere with her readings. After reading the many

e-mails posted to the website and watching videos of her on the Montel show, I saw her true colors and got past the tip of the iceberg.

It was astonishing to see her demeanor after giving the most outrageous responses to audience members asking questions on the Montel show. It was quite embarrassing to watch and it amazed me how somebody could be so nonchalant, callous, and dismissive to people who put all their faith in her. What surprised me even more was the way Montel acted by joking about Sylvia's answers and would hurry on to the next person when things got too uncomfortable. It was obvious that the jokes were not funny to the audience members after getting their responses. It adds insult to injury for people who are desperate, hurting, and want answers. I can understand why www.stopsylvia.com was established and that it was for a greater good than just exercising free speech about somebody's views you don't agree with or like. By reading the e-mails from people who had sessions with Sylvia or her son and seeing those videos, the repercussions go far beyond the studio, auditorium, or phone session. Thank you for bravely coming up with this website and making people aware of her scheme. You probably saved many people's time, money, sanity, and perhaps some people's lives. If your website is still running and you would like to post this, feel free. I would like to remain anonymous. I hope your health is better and that you are doing well.

I have yet to respond.
