"Man made drought" becomes political

So, there is this bill that ends the "man made drought" by undoing regulations that currently allocates a certain amount of river discharge into the delta.

Here's the problem: without that water entering the delta it will turn into a giant saltwater swamp. And that saltwater swamp just happens to be the source of water for 10 million plus people.

Why would they do this? Because politicians have decided that diverting that water to farmers is more important.

Incredible.
