In the poorer, ghetto-like, immigrant-dominated suburbs here in Stockholm , among the youths a particular kind of culture ("förortskultur") exists, which originated in African-American dominated suburbs I believe. Basically, they (those who belong to this kind of culture, which of course not everyone living in those suburbs do) idolize criminals ("gangstas"), they neglect school, hardly have any jobs and mostly just goof around, occasionally trashing cars or busstops or whatnot. They also used silly and stupid-sounding slang when they talk.
Most of those choosing to belong to this culture are immigrants. The few Swedes who do belong to it are literally called white trash. But it doesn't matter for me, it's the ghetto-culture itself I despise and look down on.
Am I bigotted for despising this (sub-)culture? I don't think criminals are the people one should idolize. I think it is a net bad in society.
I wouldn't mind having an immigrant (Middle-Eastern) girlfriend. Quite the contrary, I think they are often stunningly good-looking, often moreso than native Swedish girls. But I could never imagine myself being together with a girl of the ghetto-subculture, or one who admires it.
