Strong/General artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics will more and more replace human labor. At first only repetitive mechanical tasks and then increasingly more advanced tasks.
For example, IBM's computer Watson has already beaten the best human players in Jeopardy.

Instead of being unprepared it's better to actively plan for this shift. Obamacare is one attempt to reduce the number of human work hours, but it's done in almost a stealthy way. It would be better if politicians and experts in economics would discuss this inevitable shift openly.
