Woman Accidentally Shoots Daughter

There are no words for this one.

Quote:

A Florida woman allegedly shot her daughter to death Monday night because she thought the person knocking on her door was the boyfriend she had just fought, police said Tuesday.

We were talking about this, last night at dinner. My POV is I understand the theory behind castle doctrines and stand your ground, a person should have the right to defend themselves, especially in their own home but there has to be a stronger definition of perceived threat impressed on the gun owner. Now this woman is being charged because this was just reckless and by her own statements, I don't get the impression that she intends to fight the charges. This just keeps on happening; a person feels a slight indication that there is a threat at their door and they shoot blindly. She says that she thought her boyfriend was coming back to kill her. He was in the hospital treating a head wound she gave him so obviously, there was a severely dysfunctional relationship going on. Perhaps her fear was justifiable or perhaps she is the aggressor, playing the victim, we don't have all the details, yet. What we do have is a woman who shot without knowing who she was firing at and ended up killing her own daughter, who had her grandchild in her arms.
