The Arizona "anti-gay" bill - if passed, how would it have affected employer rights?

I was just debating the topic online with an American friend, and was left puzzled by a couple of things. I trust that there are forum members versed enough in the general state / federal employment laws to answer these questions:

1) If the bill had been passed, could an employee of a company have had the right to refuse service based on religious convictions regardless of company policy?

2) Would an employer have had the right to deny employment if they either believed the applicant's religious views to be a future problem, or (if allowed to ask) the applicant readily admitted this?

3) Does an employer have this explicit right currently?

Personally I would be indifferent on the issue, but I've become inclined to supporting the bill, based on the stories of harassment business owners have endured after denying service to gay marriage events. I believe that in a free market a bigoted business owner is likely to lose customers to a more tolerant competitor, leading to a natural equilibrium.
