rotation and faster than free fall

Apparently I have been incorrect in my assumption that the falling ball on stick video demonstration illustrates a faster than free fall situation.



I am also not wrong.



This page explains why.

At some angles the end of the stick does accelerate faster than 'g'. Bascically those angles less than about 35 degrees.



The math involves some university level calclus, shown in that page above.
