There hasn't been much discussion of this and I think it deserves its own thread. To me, it's a triumph of diplomacy over bluster. Republicans, of course, see it as a sign of weakness. If we'd just threatened to nuke Tehran, all would be just fine.
The R's are especially incensed that we released seven to their four. Or five. Or seven, if you count Jason Rezaian's wife and mother who are apparently being allowed to leave as well.
The seven, by the way, are a bunch of business people and engineers who were charged with evading trade embargoes not really related to the nuclear sanctions.

I noticed one of the R's whining about using their newfound billions (which was all their money anyhow) to by Airbus aircraft. As far as I know, Boeing is still prohibited from selling to them, due to sanctions imposed by St. Reagan.
