Catholic Church Isn't Doing Enough to Stop Child Abuse

We are often told that the Catholic Church is working hard to deal with issues surrounding priests who have sexually abused children. We are told this is all in the past and the modern day church is dealing with it.

But is this the truth. Is it really happening? Are the church doing enough?

This commentator does not think so

And worse yet, the Church has allowed offending priests all over the world to move away to economically disadvantaged parishes in South America. They have been able to continue being priests despite being the subjects of criminal investigations or cash settlements to alleged victims. In their continuing capacity as priests of their local parishes, they have easy, uncontrolled access to young people, and I'll bet the parishioners know nothing of the sordid past of these scumbags.

It seems to me that the Church is becoming very effective at concealing and obfuscating what is happening rather than fixing it.
