If you were to somehow use advanced neurosurgery to modify or change the brain one cell at a time, at what point am I dead?
Here is one example for clarity.
If you were to somehow use advanced neurosurgery to take 2 random people and switch their cells one at a time, until both people have the other person's cell, when have death occurred?
Assume the brain never reaches brain death.
I know the obvious answer is when you reach brain death for both answers. Besides brain death what is an alternative answer? There must be someway to be conscious and changes to occur that result in death. What is the answer?
