Would we miss the BBC?

Much talk at the moment of the license fee being slashed. The new minister for this sort of thing is known to be a 'sceptic' about the Beeb too.

Personally I love the BBC and think it is a national treasure.

Can it be justified as essentially a tax on us and what would you miss about it?
