This is an initiative to get microscopes into the hands of those who cannot afford conventional microscopes, and to enable quick diagnosis of diseases such as malaria.
The reason I am sharing this is because I applied to be a part of this program (I work in an academic laboratory), and I have finally just received two foldscopes. I plan to use them for some science outreach to some disadvantaged kids nearby. Spread the Science!
