I'd like to subscribe to a VPN service to switch on when I use public wifi, and there seem to be literally dozens of options. Some are U.S.-based, some are based abroad, some make heavier demands on the user system than others, some keep logs and others don't, prices vary, etc. Some are free, but their ads are intrusive. Two that seem to get pretty good reviews are Hotspot Shield and Private Internet Access. Anybody have any experience with these, or with others?
