There are a variety of applications and actual hardware devices that claim to monitor your sleep and wake you up at the optimal moment, so that you feel more refreshed.
Although sleep cycles are science, I wonder if any of these devices were ever clinically tested? Any controlled experiments? As you might understand, positive feedback from users is not a useful parameter, since according to such feedback acupuncture also works :D
My research has not indicated anything useful, but maybe I did not know where to look.
