A new thread about homeopathy

My girlfriend was advised to take Arnica 30u (along with three other medicines) for an operation she had today. I went to a supermarket called Sprouts to get them and asked them where I can find 'Arnica 30u' and they pointed me to their Arnica area. I didn't see anything called 'Arnica 30u' but there was a product called 'Arnica 30c'. I asked the worker what the difference was and he said something like 'it's homeopathy and it has to do with how much active ingredient is in it. It's complicated.' I said, 'okay, thanks.' I called the clinic and told a nurse I couldn't find Arnica 30u but there is Arnica 30c. The nurse said I'm looking for a little blue bottle and I said "Does it look like lip gloss?" and she said 'Yes.'. I politely said, 'I don't want you to take this the wrong way but I don't believe in homeopathy. Is this just a sugar pill or what?' She said, 'our experience is that it helps with inflammation and soreness.' I said, 'Okay I'll get it. Maybe it'll work if she thinks it works. Thanks!'. So I bought it. I've never bought homeopathic remedies before and I got to thinking about it and looked it up online.

The notes on some of the links are funny:

Homeopathy is a scientific system of medicine which has existed for over 200 years. It is used worldwide to treat a wide array of symptoms and conditions naturally without harmful side effects. It is safe for all ages.

I know this is nothing new to jref but I'm getting to my question. The following website has this to say about what '30c' means:

The designation 30C refers to the amount of dilution used to prepare a homeopathic remedy. To create Arnica 30C, one part Arnica tincture is added to 99 parts of distilled water. This is called a 1C dilution. After homeopathic processing, one part of this mixture is added to 99 parts of distilled water. This is the 2C dilution. The process is repeated 30 times, until the 30C dilution is reached.

Does anybody know if this process really happens? If I actually go to the homeopathic remedy factory are they actually obtaining and maintaining supply of tincture and diluting solutions this way or do they just fill bottles with sugar pills or tap water and seal them? I mean are they really actually going through the motions?
