I recently heard that Hawaii has 190,000 people on food stamps. Our population is 1.1 million so that's about 1 out of every 6 people receiving food stamps.
I recently heard a report about how we need more people on food stamps because a lack of nutrition leads to medical issues. If you've every visited Hawaii, I'd say too much "nutrition" is leading to medical problems.
What's troublesome about the number of recipients is who is paying the tab for all these benefits?
Also saw some reports on the news about welfare recipients accessing their benefits in other states. It was troubling to note that many Hawaii food stamp recipients accessing benefits in Las Vegas. :boggled:
