How would you go about fixing your country's education system?
Me(UK):
- The speech from Gelngarry Glen Ross is shown to the class on their first day of school, before they watch a playthrough of Spec Ops: The Line. The idea is to utterly demolish the idea of "you are special" (one of the worst ideas in education) and remind children that as they grow older, they will enter an "unfair, uncaring and unforgiving world of hatred, misery and death" (thanks Yahtzee) which does not care for them, only what they give back to it.
- Strong emphasis on STEM a la India, China, Singapore and Vietnam. They are racing ahead of every other country in education quality and their cultural attitudes towards education can be applied in the UK.
- Michael Gove is dismissed. There is no telling how much damage that man has caused.
- Teachers get a pay rise to the equivalent of an MP over the next 10 years.
