The other night I watched the remake of 'The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3' again - (Blame the Talisker not me) and this got me thinking what is the worst remake ever? Not sequels but actual remakes.
My initial nominations are:
The taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Sorry, but Max Von Sydow and Walter Matthau for John Travolta???
The Wicker Man. Just don't go there.
Planet of the Apes. For pete's sake!
I forgive The Magnificent Seven as I think it stands alone separately from The Seven Samurai but maybe I can be accused of hypocrisy on that.
Thoughts anyone?
