friend is on 300$ a month vitamin regimen to cure joint pain and it doesn't work

My friend is on a vitamin regimen that costs 300 bucks a month for his joint pain and also weight loss and it doesn't seem to work. He is claiming a 2 pound weight loss at from a weight of 330 pounds. He is not about to stop it because he can eat all the eggs and butter he wants on the diet. Right now he is eating at least 6 eggs and a pound of butter a day plus the vitamins. While he states it isn't doing anything he states that he likes eating tons of butter and eggs so he will keep on it. The problem is that this guy claims that doing this will cure nearly any illness so he is pushing it on everybody. Right now he is ready to push this 300$ 80% fat regimen on someone who has early onset Parkinson's. Apparently thisdiet cures everything. I apparently am in the wrong business. I would like someone to send me 300 bucks a month for a box of pills. First, I have to ask of all do you think this is a scam as I seem to think? The Dr's name is Joe Wallach. He is promoting the mighty 90 and the fat diet apparently.
