Are the police disappointed when they arrest an innocent person?

I was driving home after eating a sandwich and having a glass of beer to wash it down. It was nighttime when all of a sudden both my headlights went out and I had to use highbeams.

I soon had two policemen behind me and I pulled into a nearby parking lot. One of the officers smelled the beer and seemed livid because I pulled into a parking lot instead on the side of the street.

Once at the station I passed the dui test with flying colors. It what while I was a .04. One officer then started raising the roof because I drove an additional 30 yards to the parking lot.

My explanation was that since I knew they would smell the beer on my breath they would tow my car off and I had no money on me or credit cards and since I was several miles from home I wouldn't be able to retrieve my car and I didn't want to call my parents. I added that since I only had one glass of beer I knew I would pass the test and that it wasn't fair that I have to pay the tow truck driver when I was in fact innocent of any crime.

The cops weren't happy at all. They took me to my car and I was told the next time they saw me with high beams on they would ticket me.

Is this common?
