When I log into my Windows 10 Home laptop, I use the fingerprint authentication feature. I trained it with my right index finger. Sometimes I mistakenly place my finger a little off the mark and it says:
"Your fingerprint could not be recognized. Try using a different finger."
My limited research tells me that fingerprints are different on each of your fingers. Why would it not just tell me to try again with the finger it was trained with? When I try different fingers they never work and this quickly leads to a situation where you have to use your password instead.
