Is someting on the way we aren't being told about?

Is something going on? I keep reading and observing videos and other online correspondences that are speaking of an alien invasion and how dangerous it would be. Imminent scientist are saying how an advanced extraterrestrial civilization would be dangerous to the earths human population. Why bring up this subject? Is something on the way? Do scientists know something they are afraid to tell us? What if anything is going on?
