Religious Symbols on Campaign Signs

I noticed a campaign sign today that has 3 crosses on it, like the Golgatha scene often depicted on those ridiculous car window stickers. It struck me that it was the first time I remember ever seeing a religious symbol on a campaign sign. Is this common on campaign signs? I guess I am not really surprised by it, but is seems like it's crossing some sort of line. What say you?
