Nazi Ideology found a second home in the upper class bigots that ran Oklahoma. As early as 1924 Oklahoman's Masters recognized their kinship with the adolescent Nazi party by adopting the swastika for the 45th Infantry Division. This was a reaction to the growing socialism of Oklahoma’s working class. In both Germany and Oklahoma the established power structure turned to Fascism to counter populism and socialism.
In Germany Fascism died with Hitler. In Oklahoma Nazi ideology didn't even need to go underground after WWII (that would imply a free press in Oklahoma). The Daily Oklahoman is a Fascist Rag. Randy Ellis is an FBI approved reporter. Where else can you turn a Kerr-McGee Uranium mine into a drinking water reservoir (Lake Stanley Draper) for an Air Force Base (Tinker A.F.B.). Oklahoma sends the most ideologically narrow minded Congressional and Senate representatives in the nation. The point man for denying global warming is Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma.
