So yeah, a class mate of mine buys into the Aurora Project conspiracy theory and to support that it holds water he points out that it was the subject of special issue of Popular Mechanics (which I have not found reference to beyond his insistence that the issue exists and he owns a copy). So he asks me why don't I believe in conspiracy theories because conspiracies do happen.
And I replied, "I'm sorry but if the people pushing your average conspiracy theorist was to claim water is wet I would have to confirm that for myself, that is the amount of trust they have earned from me."
So how would much would any of you trust a conspiracy theorist's claim that water is wet?
