The volume of Space is increasing and new matter is burbling into being.
This wasn't mentioned back when I was a physics student in the 1970's- I'm guessing it wasn't yet known.
Since I've been out of the loop a good long while, I have to speculate as to what is meant by the amount of Space and Matter are increasing. I'm assuming they mean that Space, being a Higg's Field, is growing in size, and that because a Higg's Field is both a field and particles, that the field is growing in size, which also means that there are more particles coming into being.
One thing that interests me is speculation regarding the creation of Warp Drive, which postulates that a tremendous amount of power would be needed, whereas the Higg's Field (space) is increasing in size with the ease of water gushing from a tap. Does it require tremendous power to manipulate the Higg's field or just the right sleight-of-hand?
The mind boggles.
