I really am enjoying finding the little stories in the Hill archives. I think better writers than I am are contemplating a book based on all the information.
However, I'm just a small potatoes blogger, so here is one of my favorite parts of the archives, the marginalia in her notebooks.
Few people know Betty had a secret UFO viewing site, where she would take many people, and would keep detailed notes.
When people complain that Betty and Barney had a similar story about the 1961 abduction experience, and how could she influence him, I think of all the people she took to the site that saw UFOs also.
Even today UFO fans still go to the site and see UFOs.
I saw, not UFOs, but funny lights that were easily found to be from the RR crossing in a town nearby with a busy traffic pattern. This doesn't disprove she was seeing UFOs, or her guests were not seeing UFOs.
But the UFO community likes to cherry pick. They LIKE the 1961 abduction, and claim Betty went "nuts" after her abduction experience (or after Barney died). Betty was never "nuts".
