UK Fracking - do it in the North East it's desolate anyway

Conservative peer (and South of England resident) Lord Howell suggests that fracking should be done in the North East of England because it's desolate anyway.

I think that demonstrates breathtaking ignorance both of the North East of England and of how fragile "wilderness" (not that we have that my most standards) areas are:
